Eight hardened press pins plus a ram adapter that let a 2-20 ton hydraulic press drive transmission bearings, bushings, and races on and off cleanly.
A shop press only does transmission work as well as the pins you feed it. This OEMTOOLS 24813 set gives you eight graduated press pins, a ram adapter, and a mounting bracket so you can seat and remove bearings, bushings, races, and sleeves without stacking sockets or chewing up the part you are trying to save. It works on presses rated from 2 to 20 tons.
The pins are steel with a yellow phosphate finish to shrug off shop moisture and hydraulic oil. The ram adapter is sized for presses with a 25 mm female ram assembly that bolts on, so it drops onto OEMTOOLS models 24811, 24812, 25087, and 25088 and most H-frame presses built to that standard. It is not for bottle-jack style presses where the ram threads differ.
On the bench this is what you reach for when you are pressing a new bushing into a pump body, driving a bearing onto an input or output shaft, or knocking an old race out of a case bore. Pick the pin that just clears the bore, back the part with the bracket or a support plate, and let the press do the work in a straight line instead of hammering. The bracket screws to the wall or press frame so the eight pins stay in order instead of scattering across the floor.
