35pc Transmission & Fuel Line Disconnect + Hose Clamp Set

Pulling a transmission or swapping a cooler means getting the cooler lines and fittings apart without wrecking them, and that is where a real disconnect set earns its keep. This is a 35-piece kit: a 26-piece quick-disconnect side that handles the spring-lock and push-connect fittings on transmission cooler lines, fuel lines, oil lines, radiator lines, and A/C, plus a 9-piece hose clamp plier set for the factory spring clamps that hold cooler hose, bypass hose, and heater hose.

The disconnect tools cover the common line sizes from 1/4 inch up through 5/8 inch, including the collar-style and duckbill spring-lock couplers Ford and GM use on transmission cooler and fuel lines. Instead of prying at a fitting with a screwdriver and splitting the plastic collar, you slide the correctly sized tool over the line, seat it into the coupler, and push the internal spring open so the line pulls straight out. That is the difference between reusing a good line and buying a new one. The hose clamp pliers grip the constant-tension spring clamps found on cooler and coolant hose, with jaws that handle clamps from about 11/16 inch up to 2-1/2 inch. Several of the pliers use a swivel Clic-R style jaw and a lock so you can compress a clamp, lock it open, and slide it down the hose one-handed in a tight engine bay.
