Lever Action Barrel Pump for 15-55 Gallon ATF Drums

Shops that buy ATF, gear lube or motor oil by the drum need a way to get it out of the drum without tipping 400 pounds of steel over a floor drain. This is a lever-action hand pump that threads into the bung on any 15 to 55 gallon drum and moves up to 10 fluid ounces per stroke, so filling a 5-quart jug takes about sixteen pulls instead of a siphon and a lot of patience.

The suction tube telescopes, which is the part that matters. A fixed tube either bottoms out in a half-empty barrel or will not reach the last few gallons in a full one. Set the tube length to the drum you are working out of, wrap the supplied thread seal tape on the bung fitting, snug it with the two included wrenches, and the pump seals against the drum instead of weeping oil down the side. The 3/4 inch spout handles thick, viscous fluid without cavitating the way a narrow straw pump does.

The body is AISI 1045 steel with a zinc finish, not plastic, so the handle does not flex when you lean on it and the pump survives being knocked off a bench. It is built for non-corrosive oils: automatic transmission fluid, motor oil and heating oil. Do not run water, diesel, gasoline or any corrosive fluid through it, as those will attack the seals and the steel body.

Ships as a kit with the pump, the telescoping suction tube, thread seal tape, two wrenches and a fitted storage case, so the whole assembly stays together between drums instead of scattering across the shop.
