About this product

Pulling a rusted-in wheel bearing without the right tool usually means beating on the knuckle or dropping the whole strut assembly to get it on a shop press. This kit lets you draw the old bearing out and press the new one in right on the car. Two heat-treated 8.8-grade sliding screws thread through the matched bushings and sleeves and pull the bearing straight, so the steering knuckle and strut stay put and you skip the alignment afterward.

The set covers nearly any front-wheel-drive car or light truck with 13 bushings from 2.19 to 3.47 inches, four sleeves, two stepped sleeve plates, two sliding screws, and a nut. Run it with a breaker bar or a long ratchet rather than an impact gun, keep the threads lubed, and it handles seized bearings that would otherwise fight you for an hour. Everything drops back into a blow-molded case so the pieces stay organized on the shelf. Ships from the USA.
