Bolts to an OTC 1726 or 1735A engine stand to hold a transmission at workbench height and rotate it a full 360 degrees for teardown and rebuild.
The OTC 7118 is an adapter kit, not a stand on its own. It converts an OTC No. 1726 or No. 1735A engine stand into a transmission service stand by replacing the stand's engine adjustment arms with a cradle that holds and positions a transmission at workbench height. If you already own one of those OTC engine stands, this is the cheaper way to get a rotating transmission fixture instead of buying a dedicated stand.
On the bench the transmission mounts with three sides fully exposed, so you have clear access to the pan, valve body, servo bores and tailhousing without fighting the fixture. The head rotates a full 360 degrees, which lets you spin the case nose-up to pull the pump or roll it over to drop the pan and drain fluid in a controlled way. Mounting hardware is included.
Read the fitment carefully before ordering: this kit only works with the OTC 1726 or 1735A engine stand. It is not a universal bolt-on for every engine stand, and it does not include the stand itself. Buy it when you have the matching OTC base and want to add transmission rebuild capability to a stand you already use for engines.
