PDK Dual Clutch Transmission Housing Removal Tool Kit

This is the back-cover teardown set for the Porsche PDK dual-clutch, the ZF-built 7DT seven-speed unit fitted to the 911, 718 Boxster and Cayman, Panamera and Macan. On a PDK the rear housing has to come off before you can reach the input shafts or the internal wiring harness, and the cover is located on dowels with a sealant bead - it does not lift off by hand and it will not tolerate a pry bar on the sealing face.

Three tools do the work. The housing puller bolts to the cover's own bolt pattern and walks it off square with a center forcing screw, so both dowels release together and the shafts stay in line. The harness tool handles the internal wiring connector during replacement so you are not pulling on the pins. The input shaft extractor draws the shaft out straight instead of hammering on it. Work on the bench with the unit out and drained, and back the forcing screw down in small increments rather than in one pull.

Heat-treated steel, 18.85 lb for the set, manufacturer part number KT-4115, supplied in a fitted case at 17.6 x 12.05 x 4.29 inches. This is a disassembly and reassembly tool set only - clutch packs, mechatronic parts and seals are separate.
