This is the T-0156-A transmission holding fixture, the bench fixture that takes the place of wrestling a bare case around on a workbench. Two slotted steel arms bolt to the transmission through its bellhousing bolt holes, and the arms carry a trunnion at the back end that lets the whole unit swing a full 360 degrees. A pull pin at the top of the barrel drops into the trunnion and locks the case at whatever angle you are working at, so a tail housing or a pan can face straight up without anyone holding it.

The mounting plate is drilled so the fixture can be bolted to a bench, a plate, or a standard engine stand head. The arms are slotted rather than fixed-hole, which is what lets one fixture pick up different bellhousing bolt patterns instead of needing a case-specific adapter. The manufacturer lists fitment as Ford and Chrysler transmission cases; because the arms adjust on the slots, the practical limit is the bolt spacing on your case rather than a specific model number.

Where this earns its keep is a full teardown. Pulling a pump, setting end play, dropping a valve body, or torquing an extension housing all want the case held steady and rotated, and a case that is lying loose on the bench moves while you are trying to read a dial indicator. Locked in this fixture, the unit stays put, drains where you want it to drain, and rotates when you need the other side.

Note on what this is: it is the rotating holding fixture and base plate, shipping at 9.3 lb. It is not a rolling floor stand with casters and it does not include the bolts that go into your particular bellhousing. Plan on sourcing grade 8 bolts in the thread size your case uses.
