Overhaul gaskets, seals and sealing rings plus a Raybestos RCP96-036 friction pack for rebuilding a 1969-1979 GM TH350 or TH250 on the bench.
This is a master-style rebuild kit for the GM Turbo 350 (TH350) and its lighter-duty sibling the TH250, 1969-1979 applications. It combines two things you need for every teardown: a complete overhaul soft-parts kit and a Raybestos friction clutch pack, part number RCP96-036. Steel plates are not included, so plan on reusing your steels if they are flat and not blued, or buying a steel set separately.
The overhaul side covers the case and valve body gaskets, the pump gasket, the cork pan gasket, the front pump seal and rear extension seal, piston lip seals and O-rings for the clutch drums, and the metal and Teflon-style sealing rings for the pump stator and governor. The friction pack supplies the forward, direct and intermediate clutch frictions.
Typical reasons a TH350 lands on the bench: slipping or flared 2-3 shift from a burned direct clutch, a late or soft engagement into Drive from a worn forward pack, or a case that leaks at every seal after decades in a hot rod or old truck. On the bench, soak the new frictions in clean ATF for at least 30 minutes before assembly, replace every lip seal and O-ring as you rebuild each drum, check clutch pack clearance on assembly, and install the new sealing rings on the pump stator before the pump goes back on. Fit new front and rear seals before the transmission goes back in the car.
Fitment is for the 1969-1979 TH350 and TH250. Later lockup TH350C units and 1980-up cases can use different valve body gaskets and components, so confirm your year before ordering.
