Presses seized U-joint bearing cups out of 1 to 1.25 inch driveshaft yokes on half-ton and one-ton trucks without hammering the yoke.
The Tiger Tool 10105 is the light-duty version of the puller driveline shops use to get seized universal joints out without wrecking the yoke. It clamps over the yoke ears and threads the bearing cup straight out under screw pressure, so the load stays square to the cup instead of shocking sideways through the yoke like a socket-and-hammer job does. It is rated for Class 1-2 vehicles: Ford F-150 through F-350, Chevrolet and GMC 1500 through 3500, Ram 1500 through 3500, plus farm and light equipment driveshafts.
Fitment is by bearing cup size, not by vehicle. The 10105 handles U-joints with bearing cups from 1 inch to 1.25 inch outside diameter, which covers most half-ton and three-quarter-ton pickup driveshafts and the front axle shaft joints on solid-axle 4x4s. It does not service double Cardan (CV) joints found at the transfer case end of many two-piece shafts; that job takes the Tiger Tool 10206 instead.
On the bench or under the truck, the sequence is the same: pop the snap rings or grind off the staking, set the puller body over the yoke with the pressure screw centered on one cup, and run the screw in until the cup walks out of the ear. Flip the tool and repeat on the opposite side. Because the frame carries the reaction load, you are not driving the yoke ears out of round the way a press-and-socket setup will when a cup is rusted in. That matters on a factory yoke you intend to reuse. The 10105 is cast from high-grade steel and made in North America.
