U660E Transmission Solenoid Kit with Wire Harness

This is a remanufactured solenoid set with the internal wire harness for the Aisin U660E six-speed automatic transaxle. It is the electrical half of the valve body: the on/off shift solenoids, the linear pressure control solenoids, and the harness that ties them to the transaxle case connector. The U660E and its four-cylinder sibling the U661E went into the Toyota Camry, Avalon, Highlander, RAV4 and Venza from 2006 up, and into the Lexus ES350 and front-drive RX350.

Solenoid faults are the number one reason a U660E gets pulled, and most of them are not mechanical. When a linear solenoid winding opens or the harness chafes against the valve body casting, the TCM loses line pressure control and you get harsh 1-2 engagement, a flare on the 2-3 shift, or a hard downshift into a stop, usually with a pressure control or shift solenoid electrical code stored. Replacing the whole set and the harness at once is the right call because the solenoids age together and a mixed set will drive you back into the pan a second time.

Bench work is straightforward: drop the pan, pull the filter, unplug the case connector, and unbolt the solenoids from the valve body. Note the bolt lengths as they come out, they are not all the same. Transfer the old solenoid O-rings only if they are new, otherwise use the ones supplied. Route the new harness in the original clips so it clears the valve body land, torque the solenoid retainers lightly by hand, then refill through the fill plug with Toyota WS fluid and set level at the specified pan temperature. Clear codes and relearn before you road test.

This is a remanufactured unit, not a used take-off. Confirm your transaxle is a U660E or U660F by the cast identification on the case before ordering, since the U760E used in later applications uses a different solenoid layout.
