



Bench-top 1-ton arbor press with a 5.9 in stroke and three drifts for pressing bushings, small bearings and pins without a shop press.
A 1-ton bench arbor press for the small pressing work that comes up constantly in a transmission or driveline job: seating bushings in a pump body or planetary carrier, pushing worn bushings out of a stator support, starting bearing races, and setting rivets or pins. It is the tool you reach for when a 20-ton shop press is far more force than the part can survive and a hammer and drift is not straight enough.
VEVOR model AP-1. Cast iron frame with a 0.98 in square ram, 5.9 in (150 mm) maximum working stroke, 8.9 in ram length, 3.2 in throat depth, and a 3.5 in four-hole steel anvil plate that lets you support odd-shaped parts or clear a shaft through the base. The ram is bored 0.4 in so it accepts the three included drifts (flat, pointed, round) as well as any shop-made drift you turn to that diameter, which is how most techs adapt it to a specific bushing size.
Bolt it down. The rack-and-pinion lever gives real mechanical advantage and the frame will try to lift at the back if it is loose on the bench. The four holes in the anvil plate and the base flange are there for that. Ram play is set by the adjustment screws on the frame; snug them until the ram slides without rocking, no tighter.
It ships packed in preservative grease, which is normal for bare cast iron. Wipe it down, re-grease the rack and ram with a heavy bearing grease, and check the fasteners before the first pull. Overall size 9.5 x 6.7 x 11.4 in, roughly 24 lb, so it sits on a bench without taking over the room.
