H-frame 12-ton hydraulic press for pressing transmission bushings, bearings, ball joints, and U-joints on the bench, with two movable plates.
H-frame hydraulic shop press rated at 12 tons (26,000 lb), the size most transmission and driveline work actually needs. It handles the press-fit jobs a rebuild throws at you: pressing bushings in and out of drums and cases, seating and removing bearings and races, and pushing out ball joints, U-joints, pulleys, and gears. Outside the trans, it bends, straightens, and stamps.
The working height adjusts from 1.6 to 27.8 inches on a pin system, so you can bring the ram down close on a small drum or open it up for a full case. Two movable stamping plates bridge the bed to support whatever you are pressing, and a built-in relief valve bleeds off once you pass the 12-ton rating so you do not overload the frame. The body is 0.2-inch carbon steel with a powder-coated finish and a reinforced triangular base to keep it from walking under load.
Bench advice from people who run these: snug the work beam down tight before you press or the legs will wobble, and if you are going to lean on it regularly, plan to swap the factory table bolts for a higher grade and add thicker plates. Assembly is about ten minutes with the included hardware. It arrives as a benchtop/tabletop press, not a tall floor unit.
