Holds engine and transmission assemblies up to 1500 lb on a 360-degree rotating head with an H-base and five casters for bench rebuilds.
A rotating engine stand gets the assembly you are rebuilding up off the floor and lets you spin it to reach every side, instead of wrestling a heavy block on a pallet or bench. This one is rated 3/4 ton (1500 lb), which covers small and big block V8s as well as diesels like the 6.6L Duramax, and the four mounting arms bolt to the bellhousing bolt pattern so the whole thing turns on a 360-degree geared head with a handle. For transmission work you pair it with a case-mount holding fixture adapter and it becomes a rebuild stand for turning a trans over on the bench.
The frame is alloy steel with a cast-iron rotating head, and the base is an H-shape rather than the tippier A or U layout, which keeps it planted when the load is rotated off-center. It rolls on five casters with four of them lockable, and it folds down to about 14.8 inches wide so it stores in a corner between jobs. Assembled weight is roughly 62 lb and the assembled footprint is about 33.5 by 29.5 by 35.4 inches.
Two bench notes from real use: snug the arm bolts firmly but do not gorilla them, since the tube stock is thin-walled and over-torquing can deform it, and when you flip a heavy block go slow and keep a hand on it, because a fully dressed long block wants to swing once it passes center. This ships as a stand only - engine mounting hardware is on the arms; no engine, transmission, or adapter plate is included.
