The head runs a 72-tooth ratchet and the bar is chrome vanadium steel at 25.6 inches, so it has the reach and the leverage to pull a big fastener without you fighting it. You set a target value on the digital readout and the wrench tracks toward it in real time; when you hit the number it warns you three ways at once with an LED, a buzzer, and a vibration in the handle so you stop before you strip a thread or crush a gasket. Peak mode holds the highest reading so you can check what a fastener actually pulled, and it reads out in four units, ft-lb, Nm, in-lb, and kg-m, without converting by hand.
On driveline work this is the wrench for the mid-to-high torque fasteners: torque-converter-to-flexplate bolts, bellhousing and case bolts, crossmember and mount bolts, driveshaft U-joint straps, and axle and lug nuts. The 25 ft-lb floor means it is not the tool for light valve-body or pan bolts, which sit below its range; keep an inch-pound wrench for those.
