



Seven-piece sleeve and connector seal kit that stops the ZF 6HP26 mechatronic bridge leak, also fitting 6HP26X, 6HP28 and 6HP32 units.
This is the seven-piece sleeve and connector seal kit for the ZF 6HP26 valve body, covering the mechatronic bridge sleeve and the case-connector seals that carry fluid and wiring between the valve body and the outside of the case. It also fits the 6HP26X, 6HP28, 6HP32 and 6HP34 variants of the same ZF six-speed. OE references for the kit are 24347588727, 24347588725 and 24107519314.
The connector sleeve is the standard leak point on these units. The plastic sleeve and its O-rings harden with heat, fluid wicks past them and runs down the outside of the case, and on a bad one it travels up the wiring loom and into the TCM connector. The symptoms show up as a slow drip that gets blamed on the pan gasket, an intermittent electrical fault, or stored solenoid and pressure codes that come and go with temperature. Once the sleeve leaks, topping the unit off does not fix it - the seals have to come out.
The job runs from the bottom. Drain and drop the pan, pull the filter, then release the case connector from the outside and push the sleeve down into the case. The old sleeve and its O-rings come out with the valve body area exposed; clean the bore and the connector body before anything goes back in. Seat the new O-rings dry-clean and lubricate them lightly with ATF, press the new sleeve squarely into the bore without cocking it, and lock the connector back into the case until it clicks. Refill through the fill plug with the correct ZF Lifeguard-spec fluid and set the level at the specified fluid temperature - these units do not have a dipstick and are level-critical.
Do this any time the mechatronic unit is out for solenoid or valve body work. The seals are cheap next to the labor of dropping the pan a second time, and a fresh sleeve is the difference between a dry case and a comeback.
