10L80 Transmission Valve Body Solenoid Kit, 10-Piece

Ten-piece solenoid set for the GM Hydra-Matic 10-speed valve body, covering the 10L60, 10L80 and 10L90 variants used from 2017 up in the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Tahoe and Suburban, GMC Sierra 1500 and Yukon, Cadillac Escalade, CT4, CT5 and CT6, and the Camaro. It replaces the shift and pressure-control solenoids that bolt into the control valve body, which is where most electronic shift complaints on this transmission originate.

The 10-speed runs six clutches through a stack of variable-bleed pressure-control solenoids, so a single weak solenoid changes the apply pressure on one clutch and the symptom shows up as a harsh or flared 1-2, a shudder that feels like converter lockup, hunting between the upper gears, or a drop into limp with shift solenoid performance codes stored. Because they all share the same fluid and the same heat history, most rebuilders replace the whole pack during a valve body service rather than swapping one solenoid and coming back to the same truck a month later.

On the bench, pull the pan and filter, unbolt the valve body, and move the solenoids one position at a time so each new unit lands in the bore the old one came out of - the bleed solenoids are not interchangeable between circuits. Check that the wiring harness connectors seat fully, torque the retainer hardware to the service manual value, then refill with DEXRON ULV, verify fluid level at the correct pan temperature, and clear the adaptive learn so the TCM relearns clutch fill times. This is a new aftermarket set supplied loose without a retail box, not a remanufactured or OE-boxed kit.
