45RFE Transmission Master Rebuild Kit Dodge Jeep Ram

The 45RFE is the multi-speed automatic behind the 4.7L in Dodge, Jeep and Ram trucks, and it earns a rebuild when you get harsh or delayed engagement, slipping under load, or a burnt-clutch smell after a lot of towing miles. This master kit gives you the full soft-parts and clutch package to put one back together in one box instead of chasing individual part numbers.

It covers the 45RFE found in Durango, Dakota, Ram 1500 and Jeep applications and replaces OE reference numbers B128820A, W128880A and W128881A. Inside are the friction clutch plates, matching steel plates, the full gasket set, and the lip seals and O-rings needed to reseal the unit. The frictions are cut for smooth apply and the steels are ground flat so the pack builds clearance evenly and does not chatter or flare on the shift.

This is a bench rebuild, not a bolt-on repair. The transmission has to come out and be fully disassembled; you set clutch clearances, replace the frictions and steels, and reseal with the new gaskets and rings during reassembly.
