This is the WIT (Whatever It Takes) SK45RFE-A shift kit for the Chrysler RFE family automatic: the 45RFE, 545RFE, 65RFE, 66RFE and 68RFE, covering 1999 through 2018. It fits the Dodge Dakota and Durango, Ram 1500/2500/3500, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Commander, Liberty and Wrangler, and the Chrysler Aspen. Part number is SK 45RFE-A (also cataloged as T72165A). The reason most of these come across the bench is the torque-converter limit valve bore in the pump. It wears until the bore is wiped out and the pump looks like it needs replacing. This kit ships a drop-in TC limit valve assembly that restores that function in both the early and late pump designs regardless of how far the bore has worn, so you save the cost of a pump. It also recalibrates the TCC accumulator circuit for a cleaner converter-clutch apply and includes a heavy-duty snap ring for the underdrive/overdrive pressure plate to stop the snap-ring blow-out these units are known for.
