Cast aluminum bolt-on pan for Chrysler 545RFE, 65RFE and 68RFE units, with a magnetic drain plug and gasket so service is a drain-and-fill, not a pan drop.
An aluminum replacement for the stamped steel pan on Chrysler RFE-family automatics: the 545RFE five-speed and the 65RFE, 66RFE and 68RFE six-speeds. It takes the place of OEM pan 4736676AA and bolts up where a Dorman 265-870 steel pan would. A gasket and a magnetic drain plug come with it.
The factory RFE pan has no drain plug. A normal fluid change means pulling the pan bolts and wearing a few quarts of ATF+4. With a drain plug you can drain the pan, then drop it only when the filter is due. The magnet on the plug holds the fine steel from clutch and gear wear, which gives you a quick look at the health of the unit at every service.
Fitment from the listing: Ram 1500 2011-2018 (545RFE or 65RFE) and 1500 Classic 2019, Ram 2500/3500 2010-2024 (545RFE, 66RFE or 68RFE), Durango 2011-2013, Grand Cherokee 2010-2013, Commander, and Dakota 2010-2011. On the 6.7L Cummins trucks, check that the pan clears your crossmember and exhaust before you order. A deep-sump pan for those trucks is sold separately.
Install tip: clean the case rail down to bare metal and torque the pan bolts evenly in a cross pattern. Aluminum pans do not flex like steel, so if you overtighten one corner it will leak. Refill with ATF+4 and check the level hot, in park, on the dipstick.
