68RFE 300M Billet Input Shaft Ram 2500/3500 Cummins

The input shaft is the part that carries every bit of the 6.7L Cummins torque from the torque converter into the 68RFE clutch packs, and the factory shaft is the known weak link in this transmission. Behind a tuner, bigger injectors, or a loaded trailer, the stock 68029247AA shaft twists and eventually snaps the splines, usually taking out the input drum with it. This is the 300M billet steel replacement built to take that abuse without giving up.

300M is a through-hardened, high-tensile alloy steel used where a part has to resist twisting under repeated shock load, which is exactly what an input shaft sees when a diesel hits boost and the converter locks. This shaft is a direct replacement for factory part number 68029247AA (also referenced as 299600) and drops into the same location as the stock shaft with no machining. It fits the 68RFE six-speed automatic behind the 6.7L Cummins in Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks, 2007 through 2018.
