This is the most common electrical failure on the 68RFE behind 6.7L Cummins Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks, and the same block is used in the 45RFE and 545RFE. Symptoms are limp mode stuck in second or third, harsh or delayed shifts, and codes such as P0750, P0755, P0841, P0845, P0869 or P0700. When the pressure switches or solenoids in the block go bad, replacing the whole pack is faster and more reliable than chasing one solenoid.
Drop the pan, pull the old filter, remove the solenoid pack's bolts and ease it off the valve body so the connector seal stays intact. Install the new pack with fresh O-rings lubed, torque it down, fit the new filter and spin-on filter, and refill with ATF+4. Run a quick learn with a scan tool afterward to reset shift adapts.
