6L80E Transmission Oil Pan Kit with Drain Plug and Gasket

The factory 6L80E pan has no drain plug, so every fluid service turns into dropping a full pan of ATF on your arms. This replacement pan adds a threaded drain plug, which means you can drain the pan before you pull it, and every service after that is a plug-out, plug-in job. It is also the fix when the original pan is dented from a rock or a jack, or the flange is bent and weeping at the gasket.

It replaces GM pan numbers 24222657, 24224781, 24236933 and 29535617, and interchanges with 265-582. Listed fitment: Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV 2007-2015, Escalade EXT 2007-2013, XLR 2006-2009; Chevrolet Avalanche 2009-2013, Camaro 2010-2015, Corvette 2006-2014, Silverado 1500 2009-2018, Silverado 1500 LD 2019, Suburban 1500 2009-2014, Suburban 2015-2019, Tahoe 2009-2019; GMC Sierra 1500 2007-2018, Sierra 1500 Limited 2019, Yukon 2007-2019, Yukon XL 1500 2007-2014, Yukon XL 2015-2019; Hummer H2 2008-2009. Check the pan number or the 6L80E tag before you order, since a few of these vehicles also came with other transmissions.

On the bench: loosen the pan bolts on one side first and let the fluid run off that corner, then drop the pan, pull the filter straight down and make sure the old filter neck seal came out of the case with it. Clean the case rail, set the new gasket on the pan and snug the bolts in a crossing pattern. Refill through the fill plug and set the level hot on the check plug the way the 6L80E calls for, with the engine running and fluid at operating temperature.

The kit includes the pan, drain plug and pan gasket. The listing photo also shows a filter and neck seal; if you are doing a full service, plan on a fresh filter either way.
