6R140 Transmission Cooler Line Kit for 6.7L Powerstroke

A direct replacement for the factory transmission cooler lines on 2011-2016 Ford Super Duty trucks with the 6.7L Powerstroke and the 6R140 TorqShift. It supersedes OEM line assembly BC3P-7H420-BH and runs two -8AN CPE hoses, one 4.7 ft and one 3.9 ft, from the transmission case to the cooler.

The factory lines are small-diameter steel with crimped rubber transition sections. Those sections harden with heat and age, and on a truck that tows they are a common seep point at the case fitting and at the cooler port. The other half of the problem is flow: the OE line is restrictive enough that 6R140 pan temperatures climb on long grades, and a converter that is already making heat has nowhere to put it. The larger -8AN bore moves more fluid through the cooler per pass and brings pan temps down.

The kit includes billet aluminum adapters that thread into the case and cooler ports and convert the OE-style quick-connect to a threaded -8AN fitting, so the connection is a torqued joint instead of a clip and O-ring. Installation is a line-for-line swap: drop the factory hard lines, thread in the adapters, route the two hoses along the OE path and tighten the -8AN ends. Check the fluid level after the first heat cycle, since the larger lines hold slightly more fluid than the OE steel.

Hose is a three-layer CPE construction, nylon braid outer, CPE rubber core and a stainless steel mesh reinforcement layer, which is what lets it live under the truck next to exhaust heat without going hard.
