A6MF1/A6MF2 Transmission Master Rebuild Kit Hyundai Kia

This is a full master overhaul kit for the Hyundai/Kia A6MF1 and A6MF2 six-speed automatic, the in-house transverse unit that went into most 2010-and-up front-wheel-drive and AWD Hyundai and Kia cars and crossovers. It fits the 2.0L through 3.5L applications including the Hyundai Sonata, Santa Fe, Tucson, Azera and Veloster and the Kia Optima, Sorento, Sportage and Cadenza. It replaces OE service numbers B260820A, B260880A and W260881A; check your unit tag or an existing part number against those before you order.

The kit carries the wear items you replace on a full teardown: the friction clutch plates, the steel reaction plates, and the complete overhaul gasket and seal set for the case, pump and clutch drums. The frictions are cut to hold a stable coefficient across heat cycles and the rubber seals ship fresh so the drums build and hold apply pressure instead of bleeding down. Buying the set is cheaper and faster than chasing each seal and plate individually.

This is a bench rebuild, not a bolt-on. Pull the transaxle, split the case, and clean everything to hospital-clean before you start stacking. Air-check each clutch drum after assembly, set clutch clearance to spec, and prime the pump on install. The kit covers the internal soft parts and clutch pack; it does not include hard parts, the valve body, or a torque converter, so inspect the drums, pump and bushings while you are in there.
