Pan filter and cork-rubber gasket for the Aisin AS68RC in 2007-2012 Ram 3500/4500/5500 6.7L Cummins; replaces filter 68019688AA and gasket 68020049AA.
This is the spin-in pan filter and pan gasket you drop in every time you service the Aisin AS68RC, the six-speed automatic behind the 6.7L Cummins in 2007-2012 Ram 3500, 4500, and 5500 chassis-cab and pickup trucks. The filter replaces Mopar OE 68019688AA and the cork-rubber pan gasket replaces 68020049AA, so it covers a full drop-the-pan service in one kit.
The AS68RC is a fluid-sensitive unit that lives a hard life towing and hauling, and its clutch material and steels shed into the pan over miles. A plugged filter starves the pump and shows up as slipping, delayed engagement, and rising line temp before it takes the clutches with it. Pulling the pan, swapping this filter, and resealing with a fresh gasket every 30,000 miles in severe service is the cheapest insurance on the truck.
On the bench the job is straightforward: drop the pan, pull the old filter straight down off the pump inlet, seat the new filter with its O-ring fully home, scrape the old gasket, run the new cork-rubber gasket dry (no RTV needed), and torque the pan bolts evenly to spec. Refill with the correct AS68RC fluid to the factory level-check procedure. The cork-rubber gasket is reusable-grade material that seals a slightly warped pan flange better than a paper gasket.
Fitment: 2007-2010 Dodge Ram 3500 and 2008-2010 Ram 4500/5500 with the 6.7L Cummins diesel, and 2011-2012 Ram 3500/4500/5500 6.7L diesel, all with the AS68RC transmission. Ships from the USA.
