AS69RC Transmission Filter and Pan Gasket Service Kit

The Aisin AS69RC behind the 6.7L high-output Cummins is a heavy-duty six-speed that lives a hard life in Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 chassis cab and pickup work trucks. It is a filtered-fluid transmission, and it does not forgive a neglected service interval. Clutch material and normal wear debris load the filter media, flow drops, line pressure gets soft, and you start seeing lazy engagement, a shudder in lockup and rising pan temperatures under load. This kit is the filter and gasket half of that service.

Fitment is Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 with the 6.7L high-output Cummins and the Aisin AS69RC transmission, model years 2013 through 2024. The filter interchanges with Mopar 68224232AA, Baldwin 20070 and Premium Guard PT99613. Trucks running the AS66RC use the same filter family, but confirm your existing part number against 68224232AA before ordering rather than going by model year alone, because the AS66RC and AS69RC were both offered across overlapping years depending on engine and GVWR.

The pan gasket is NBR rubber with fitted screw holes, so it stays located while you start the pan bolts instead of sliding out of position and pinching. On the truck: get the fluid hot, drop the pan and let it drain, pull the old filter straight down off the pump pickup, clean the magnet and the pan rail, set the new gasket, install the new filter, and torque the pan bolts evenly in a crossing pattern. Do not reuse the old gasket on an AS69RC pan; the sealing surface work-hardens and that is where the slow seep on high-mile trucks comes from.

Plan on roughly 25,000 to 50,000 mile service intervals for a truck that tows or runs heavy, and 60,000 miles as the outside limit. Fluid is not included with this kit, so order your AS69RC-spec ATF separately.
