AS69RC Transmission Service Kit with ATF and Filter

This is the complete drop-the-pan service package for the Aisin AS69RC six-speed behind the 6.7L Cummins in 2013-2024 Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 chassis trucks. You get ten one-quart bottles of ATF built to the Aisin T-IV OE specification, the internal transmission filter with its o-ring, the pan gasket, and the drain plug sealing washer. That is the whole job in one box instead of four separate part numbers from three counters.

The AS69RC holds a lot of fluid and it is not a lifetime fill, whatever the owner's manual implies. Trucks that tow see the fluid cook, and burnt fluid in this unit shows up as harsh 1-2 shifts, delayed engagement into drive when cold, and eventually clutch material in the pan. On a drain-and-fill you will recover roughly seven to eight quarts through the pan; the ten quarts here covers that plus the extra you lose if you also flush the cooler lines or pull the filter and let the case drain further.

On the bench or on the truck: drop the pan bolts around the perimeter and break the pan loose at a corner so the fluid runs into the drain pan rather than down your arm. Pull the old filter straight down and check that the o-ring came out with it - a stuck o-ring left in the bore will suck air and starve the pump. Scrape the pan rail clean, seat the new gasket dry, and torque the pan bolts in a criss-cross pattern rather than around the edge so the gasket does not creep. Fill through the fill port, run the truck through the gear range with your foot on the brake, and set the final level at operating temperature per the fill procedure - overfilling this unit aerates the fluid and causes the same shift complaints you are trying to fix.

Fits the AISIN AS69RC 6-speed only. It does not fit the earlier AS68RC. Replaces filter 68224232AA and related pan gasket and washer part numbers.
