DQ250 DSG Clutch Pack Cover 02E301205C for VW and Audi

On the DQ250 six-speed DSG (transmission code 02E), the dual clutch pack sits behind a pressed steel cover with a rubber seal bonded around the outer edge and a lip seal in the center for the input shaft. That cover is what keeps DSG fluid inside the case and out of the bell housing. This is the replacement cover, reference OE numbers 02E301205C and 02E301205D.

The cover is held in with a large retaining ring and the bonded seal distorts when it is pried out, so it is treated as a one-time part: if you pull it to replace the clutch pack or the input shaft seals, it gets a new one. It is also the fix when you find DSG fluid weeping from the bell housing drain and the leak traces back to the cover seal rather than the case halves.

Bench notes: with the transmission separated from the engine, remove the retaining ring and pry the old cover out evenly. Clean the bore, lube the new seal lightly with DSG fluid, and press the cover in square until it seats, then refit the retaining ring fully into its groove. Do not reuse the old cover even if it looks fine.
