Sealed automatic transmissions with no dipstick have to be filled from underneath, through a side fill plug, against gravity. Doing that with a hand pump means twenty minutes of squeezing while fluid drips down your arm. This is a gear-type transfer pump that mounts to a cordless drill or a 3/8 inch drive air ratchet and moves 6.3 pints (3 liters) per minute at 1,200 RPM, so a four-quart refill takes about a minute and a half.

The pump body is fiberglass-reinforced nylon, which holds up to ATF, gear oil and the detergent packages in modern fluids. A universal adaptor with a rubber mounting strap clamps it to any drill size, and a fold-away accessory bracket lets you drive it with an air ratchet instead when you want more control at low speed. One hand runs the drill, the other manages the suction and discharge hoses. Quick-couple fittings let you swap hoses without breaking down the pump, and they seal the ports so it does not drip in the toolbox between jobs.

Kit includes the pump, three hoses (two 8mm x 1m and one 6mm x 1m), a 1/4 inch hex to 3/8 inch drive drill adaptor, an assortment of fill-plug adaptors for common domestic and import applications, and a blow-mold case. Prime the pump before the first run and flush it with clean fluid when you are done; gear pumps that get stored full of contaminated oil are the ones that stop pumping.
