JF011E CVT Transmission Push Belt Chain 901047

This is the steel push belt (chain) that runs between the primary and secondary pulleys inside the Jatco JF011E, known as RE0F10A on Nissan applications and F1CJA on Mitsubishi. It replaces part numbers 901047 and 901066. In a CVT there is no set of planetary gears doing the work - this belt and the two variable-width pulleys it rides on are the entire drive path, so once the belt is worn the unit cannot hold ratio no matter what you do to the valve body.

The symptoms that send you here are belt slip: engine RPM flares on a hard pull without a matching increase in road speed, a shudder or judder under light throttle around 20-40 mph, a rising whine that tracks engine speed, and slip or ratio codes such as P17F0 and P17F1. Pull the pan and check the fluid - a JF011E that has eaten a belt puts fine steel glitter in the fluid and packs the filter and magnet. If the belt has slipped hard enough to score or polish the pulley faces, replace the pulley set with the belt; a new belt on glazed pulleys will slip again.

Install it with the unit on the bench and the case split. Set both pulley halves on the belt and compress the set as an assembly before it goes back in the case - the belt is directional and the elements have to sit square in the pulley vee. Replace the filter, screen and pan gasket at the same time, and flush the cooler and lines before refill or the debris from the old belt goes straight back through the new one. Refill with the correct Nissan NS-2 or NS-3 spec CVT fluid for the application, then reset the CVT learn values so the TCM stops commanding pressure for a slipping belt.

Fitment covers the JF011E / RE0F10A CVT in the 2007-2014 Nissan Altima 2.5L, Rogue and Sentra, the 2007-2012 Dodge Caliber, the 2007-2014 Jeep Compass and Patriot, the 2009-2012 Suzuki Kizashi, and Mitsubishi Lancer and Outlander applications using the same unit. Verify the transmission code stamped on your case before ordering - the JF010E and JF015E use a different belt.
