RE0F10A JF011E CVT Transmission Filter, Oil Pan & Gasket Kit

This is a full filter service kit for the Jatco JF011E continuously variable transmission, sold under GM/Nissan codes RE0F10A and RE0F10B. It covers the two-liter and 2.4L/2.5L applications: 2007-2012 Dodge Caliber, 2007-2017 Jeep Compass and Patriot, 2008-2015 Mitsubishi Lancer, 2008-2017 Outlander and Outlander Sport, 2008-2013 Nissan Rogue and Rogue Select, and 2009-2012 Sentra. It replaces OE pan numbers 31728-1XF03, 31726-1XF00, 31728-1XF02, 31728-1XF0A and Chrysler part 05191890AA.

The JF011E runs two filters, and that trips up a lot of people. There is the internal filter inside the oil pan and a separate external cooler-return (canister) filter. The external one is the filter that starves the pulleys and causes the slip-on-acceleration complaint at higher mileage, so a proper service means both. This kit ships the internal oil pan strainer, the external cooler filter, and the pan gasket together so you are not chasing parts mid-job.

On the bench the sequence is straightforward: drop the pan, pull the old internal filter and its O-ring, swap the external canister filter on the cooler return line, clean the pan and magnets, then set the new gasket and torque the pan bolts lightly and evenly. Refill with the correct CVT fluid (Nissan NS-2/NS-3 or Chrysler CVTF+4 depending on application) to the fluid-temperature spec, not by the quart. The filter media is a thickened paper element on a stainless frame to hold up between changes.

Doing this at your fluid interval keeps fine clutch and pulley debris out of the valve body and the step motor, which is what protects a JF011E from the early wear that ends in a slip or a hard fault. Note: on 2015-2017 Outlander 2.4L and some Rogue years the included cooler-cover O-ring fitment can vary, so confirm the cover seal against your old one before final assembly.
