NAG1 Transmission Conductor Plate Kit with Filter and Gasket

The conductor plate is the electro-hydraulic brain inside the NAG1 (W5A580 / Mercedes 722.6) five-speed. It carries the shift solenoids, the two speed sensors and the internal wiring harness, and it bolts to the top of the valve body under the pan. When it fails you get limp mode, a stuck 2nd or 3rd gear, no reverse, harsh 1-2 shifts, or stored codes P0715, P0720, P0500 and P0731-P0736 that will not clear.

This is a four-piece service kit: conductor plate, external speed sensor plug adapter (the 13-pin connector that presses into the case), pan gasket and internal filter. It replaces part numbers 1402701261, 52108308AB, 52108308AC, 917-678, 2770095, 5S9573 and SU110. Fitment covers Chrysler 300 2005-2014 and Crossfire 2006-2008; Dodge Charger 2006-2017, Challenger 2008-2014, Magnum 2005-2008, Durango 2011-2013, Nitro 2007-2011 and Sprinter 2500/3500; and Jeep Grand Cherokee 2005-2013, Commander 2006-2010, Liberty 2005-2006 and Wrangler 2012-2017. Five-speed automatics only.

Bench procedure: drop the pan and drain, pull the filter, unclip the internal harness from the solenoids, then release the plug adapter from the case bore and unbolt the plate from the valve body. The new plate drops straight in - torque the plate bolts evenly, seat the new plug adapter squarely so the O-ring does not roll, fit the new filter and gasket, then refill with the correct ATF and run the fluid level procedure at operating temperature. Many shops replace the plug adapter along with the plate even when only the plate is suspect, because a weeping adapter wicks fluid up the harness and takes the new plate out with it.

One note on diagnosis: a conductor plate fault and a worn valve body look identical from the driver seat. Pull codes first. Speed sensor and solenoid circuit codes point at the plate; pressure and ratio codes with clean electrical data usually point deeper into the valve body or the clutch packs.
