U140E U240E Transmission Filter & Pan Gasket Kit, Toyota Lexus

This is the internal oil filter (strainer) and pan gasket you drop in when servicing the Aisin U140-series automatic, covering the U140E, U140F, U240E and U241E. It replaces OEM/reference number 58618 and picks up the fluid through the same factory pickup location, so the pan bolts back up without modification.

Fitment runs across a wide slice of early-2000s Toyota front-drive cars: Camry (2002-2005), Celica (2002-2005), Highlander (2003-2015), Matrix (2003-2013), RAV4 (2003-2012) and Solara (2002-2006), plus Scion tC (2005-2013) and xB (2008-2015), and the Lexus ES300 (1999-2001) and RX300 (1999-2003). These chassis were built with more than one transaxle, so confirm your unit is a U140E/U240E family before ordering rather than going by model year alone.

Do this filter any time you drop the pan for a fluid and gasket service, or when a clogged strainer is starving the pump and causing delayed or slipping engagement. On this gasket the bolt holes run a little loose, so seat the pan on a couple of guide bolts or nudge the gasket into line with a pin punch as you start each bolt, then torque in a cross pattern to keep it from shifting.
