02E DQ250 6-Speed DSG Service Kit - Filter, Seals, 5L Fluid

This is a complete fluid-and-filter service kit for the 02E six-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, better known as the DQ250 or 6-speed DSG. It fits a huge run of Volkswagen and Audi models from the mid-2000s up: GTI, Golf R, Jetta, Jetta TDI, Passat, CC, Beetle, and EOS on the VW side, and A3, A3 quattro, S3, TT, and TTS on the Audi side. The internal filter matches OE part 02E305051C, and the kit is built around a genuine FEBI Germany filter with five liters of DSG dual-clutch fluid.

What is in the box: one 02E DSG spin-in filter, the filter housing O-ring, the pan drain plug sealing washer, a screw-in fill adapter for the transmission fill port, and five one-liter bottles of FEBI DSG fluid. The job on the DQ250 goes like this: warm the fluid to spec, pull the lower pan drain plug and let it empty, drop the pan, swap the filter and its housing seal, reinstall the pan with a fresh drain washer, then refill through the side fill port using the included adapter until fluid runs level at the correct temperature. The wet-clutch DSG shares its fluid with the mechatronic clutch packs, so old, sheared fluid is what causes the low-speed clutch shudder, flare on the 1-2 shift, and jerky creep these boxes get known for. VW calls for this service around every 40,000 miles, and doing it yourself with this kit costs a fraction of the dealer's fluid service.
