4L60E Refurbished Master Solenoid Kit with Harness, 2003-2007

A complete refurbished solenoid package for the GM 4L60E and 4L65E, built for the 2003-2007 style internal wiring harness. It covers the electrical side of the valve body in one kit: the EPC (pressure control) solenoid, the 1-2/3-4 and 2-3 shift solenoids (A and B), the TCC on/off solenoid, the TCC PWM solenoid and the 3-2 downshift solenoid, already mounted on the internal harness along with the pressure switch manifold. The kit as shipped also includes a pan filter and pan gasket so the job goes back together with fresh sealing. Interchange part numbers include 24230298, 24219581, 24220158, 24227792 and 24209276.

Each solenoid is cleaned, bench-tested and reconditioned rather than new, which is how this kit comes in well under a set of new OE-brand solenoids. On a high-mileage truck where one solenoid has already failed, the rest are usually close behind, so replacing the whole harness assembly at once saves pulling the pan a second time.

Symptoms this kit addresses: stuck in second or third gear (failsafe), no upshift or harsh 1-2 shift, firm or erratic shifts from a failing EPC, converter clutch that will not apply or shudders, and codes such as P0751, P0756, P0741, P0748, P1860 and P1870 once wiring and connectors check out. A 3-2 downshift fault or a leaking pressure switch manifold on the 2003-up harness shows up as harsh coast-down or wrong gear indication.

On the bench: drain and drop the pan, pull the filter, unplug the case connector and unbolt the harness, EPC and shift solenoid retainers, then remove the old harness assembly as one piece. Clean the valve body mounting surfaces, install the new assembly with the pressure switch manifold seated flat, torque the bolts evenly, fit the new filter and gasket, and refill. Confirm the transmission is a 2003-up unit before ordering; 1993-2002 transmissions use a different harness and PWM connector.
