4L60E Master Solenoid Kit with Harness 2003-2006

This nine-piece kit replaces the complete electrical side of a 2003-2006 GM 4L60E valve body in one pan drop. It contains the 1-2/2-3 shift solenoids A and B, the 3-2 downshift solenoid, the TCC solenoid, the TCC PWM solenoid, the EPC pressure control solenoid, the internal wiring harness with the pressure switch manifold attached, a new filter and a cork pan gasket. The listing cross-references GM numbers including 10478112, 10478120, 10478131, 24230298 and 24220158. Kit weight is about 3 lb.

Replace the whole set when a 4L60E throws solenoid or pressure codes such as P0753 or P0758 (shift solenoid circuits), P0748 (EPC), P0741 or P0742 (converter clutch), or a range switch or pressure switch code, or when it has harsh shifts, no upshift, a stuck gear or no lockup. Swapping one solenoid at a time on a high-mileage unit often just moves the problem to the next worn coil or a cracked harness connector.

To install, drop the pan, remove the filter, and unplug and unbolt the old harness and pressure switch manifold. Pull each solenoid retaining clip and fit the new solenoids with fresh O-rings lubed in ATF, then route the new harness exactly like the old one and torque the manifold bolts evenly so it seals against the valve body. Install the new filter and pan gasket, refill with Dexron VI and clear the codes before a road test.
