4L60E Internal Wiring Harness w/TCC Solenoid, Rostra 350-0061

This is the internal wiring harness that lives inside a GM 4L60E and runs power and ground to every solenoid on the valve body, then passes through the case connector to the outside world. On the late-model 2003-2006 units it is a common failure point: the wires get brittle and chafe against the case and valve body over years of heat cycling, and the terminals corrode where they push onto the solenoids. When that happens you get intermittent shift solenoid codes, harsh or missed shifts, torque converter clutch codes, and lockup that comes and goes. Rather than chase a wiring gremlin one connector at a time, most techs replace the whole harness while the pan is down.

The Rostra 350-0061 is a complete replacement harness for the 2003-2006 style 4L60E, 4L65E, and 4L70E, and it comes with the lock-up (TCC) solenoid already attached. It uses Rostra's anti-bleed TCC solenoid, which holds converter-clutch apply pressure instead of letting it bleed off, so you get cleaner, more consistent lockup instead of shudder or drop-out. It is the OE 350-0061 reference part, so if a rebuild kit or diagnostic calls out that number, this is the correct piece for the later 2003-up cases (the earlier 1993-2002 harness is the 350-0025 and is not interchangeable).

On the bench it is a straightforward swap: drop the pan, unplug the old harness from each solenoid and from the internal side of the pass-through case connector, unclip it from the valve body, then route the new one the same way and click each terminal onto its solenoid. Take the chance to inspect the solenoids and the case connector seal while you are in there. Getting a solid harness back in is the difference between a transmission that shifts and locks up correctly and one that keeps setting codes and dropping in and out of gear.
