8L Air-Operated Transmission Fluid Pump, 15 ATF Adapters

This is an 8-liter (2.1 gallon) air-operated fluid pump built for the job every modern automatic creates: filling a sealed-for-life transmission that has a small fill plug on the side of the case and no dipstick tube to pour down. Hook the supplied hose to shop air, thread the pump head onto the semi-transparent reservoir, and it will both draw the old ATF out and push fresh fluid up into the fill port under steady pressure. A pin in the control valve switches it between extract and dispense: pin in to pressurize and dispense, pin out to pull a vacuum and extract.

The reason it beats a funnel is venting. On a GM 6L80, Ford 6R80, ZF 8HP, or any transaxle with a check-plug fill, the opening is barely wider than the fluid tube, so a funnel burps fluid back at you and a level check takes forever. Feeding fluid in through the pump's thin fill tube leaves room for the transmission to vent, so you fill quickly and cleanly to the check point without a mess under the truck. A pressure gauge and safety valve on the reservoir let you watch the tank pressure and bleed it off before you break a connection.

The kit comes with 15 all-metal ATF filler adapters that cover the common fill-plug threads on BMW, Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi, Honda, GM and Ford units, plus a 60-inch main hose with a quick-connect control valve, a clear 6mm silicone hose, 8mm and 10mm semi-rigid nylon tubes, and a brake-bleed hose, all in a storage case. One real-world note from the bench: this is air-hungry. A small pancake compressor will disappoint on the extract side; a tank compressor holding around 110 to 120 psi runs it the way it is meant to run. Reservoir is 8L, unit weighs about 8.5 lb.
