Sealed transmissions do not have a dipstick tube to pour down. On a ZF 6HP and 8HP, a Mercedes 722.6 or 722.9, a VW 09G or DSG, or a Ford 6R and 10R, the fluid goes in through the fill or check plug on the side of the pan, uphill, against gravity. This is the pump that does that job without pulling the vehicle back off the lift twice.

The kit runs on shop air rather than a hand lever. An 8 liter clear tank with volume markings holds the new ATF, a regulator and 0-80 psi (0-6 bar) gauge set the tank pressure, and an inline valve controls flow so you can meter fluid in and stop cleanly when it starts weeping back out of the check plug at temperature. A two-way valve reverses the pump: turn it the other direction and the same setup pulls the old fluid out of the pan or through the dipstick tube into the tank, so one tool handles both halves of a drain and fill.

Twenty-six threaded adapters come in the case, in the common fill plug thread sizes and outlet angles used across BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Ford, Volkswagen, Porsche, Skoda and Volvo, plus a quick connector on the main hose so you can swap adapters without draining the line. The angled adapters are the ones that matter in practice, since most check plugs sit behind a crossmember or an exhaust with no room for a straight fitting.

The clear tank is the other reason to use a pump like this over a gravity bag: you can see exactly how much went in. On a unit where the fill spec is a measured quantity and then a level check at temperature, watching the scale on the bottle is the difference between a correct fill and a comeback for shudder or a burnt overdrive pack.
