BorgWarner 34352KIT 6L80 Friction Clutch Module Kit

This is the BorgWarner 34352KIT friction module for the GM 6L80 six-speed automatic, the unit behind the LS and LT truck engines in Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Yukon, Camaro and Escalade applications. It is every friction plate the transmission uses, boxed as one part number, so you are not chasing individual clutch packs across five orders while the case sits open on the bench. BorgWarner is the OE-level friction supplier for this box, so plate count and material match what the unit was built with.

Clutch content in the kit: C1-2-3-4 high energy waved (5), C-B-2-6 high energy (5), C-3-5-Reverse high energy waved (4), C-4-5-6 high energy (6), and low reverse 31735AM high energy (5). Fitment is 6L80 units from 2010 up. The 6L80 changed clutch counts and plate thickness across its production run, so count the plates coming out of each drum during teardown and confirm against what you are stacking back in.

The 6L80 typically comes apart for a burnt 3-5-Reverse pack, slipping or flared 2-3 and 4-5 shifts, and the harsh or delayed engagement that follows once clutch material has gone through the fluid. Replacing frictions alone will not hold if the steels are heat-blued or coned, so inspect and replace steels as needed, soak the new frictions in Dexron VI before assembly, and air-check each drum after you set clearance. Renew the bonded pistons, seals and filter in the same pass and prime the pump before the converter goes in.
