6L80 Transmission Oil Pan Kit with Drain Plug and Filter

This is a direct-fit replacement transmission oil pan for the GM 6L80 and 6L80E six-speed automatic, and it fixes the one thing techs hate about servicing this transmission: the factory pan has no drain plug. On a stock 6L80 you have to break the pan loose and let two-plus quarts of Dexron VI run down your arm every time you want fresh fluid. This pan is stamped to the same shape and 18-bolt pattern as the OE pan but adds a threaded magnetic drain plug, so from here on a fluid change is a drain-and-fill instead of a wrestling match.

It fits the 6L80/6L80E behind the 5.3L, 6.0L, 6.2L and related engines in 2006-2019 GM trucks and cars: Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Tahoe, Suburban, Avalanche, Camaro and Corvette; GMC Sierra 1500, Yukon and Yukon XL; Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV/EXT and XLR; and the Hummer H2. The kit is complete: pan, new gasket, the pickup filter, the internal magnet and the drain plug, so you have everything for a full pan service in one box. On the bench, drop the old pan, swap the filter, clean the sealing surface, set the new gasket dry, and torque the pan bolts in a cross pattern to the GM spec (about 106 in-lb / 12 Nm).
