Converts the 3-bolt output flange on GM 6L80, 6L90, 8L90 and 10L80 transmissions to a U-joint slip yoke so you can run a one-piece driveshaft.
Late-model GM automatics leave the factory with a 3-bolt companion flange on the tailshaft and a two-piece driveshaft joined by a rubber flex disc (guibo) or a factory CV joint. Both are fine on a stock truck or car, but they are a headache in a swap or a build: the flex disc tears, the CV binds at angle, and neither one lets you spin a simple one-piece shaft. This adapter kit bolts to that 3-bolt output and gives you a standard U-joint slip-yoke, so a driveshaft shop can build you a conventional one-piece shaft.
It fits the GM 6L80, 6L90, 8L90 and 10L80 automatics and the TR6060 and TR3160 manual boxes, so it covers the common LS and LT swap transmissions found behind Silverado, Sierra, Camaro, CTS-V, Corvette and Escalade drivetrains. There is also a spacer in the box that is required on the 8L90 and 10L80 to set the flange at the correct depth. On the differential side it also works with the 2005 to 2006 Pontiac GTO. The flange and hardware are machined from aluminum and balanced so the driveline stays smooth at speed.
Use it when you are retrofitting a modern GM transmission into a street rod, hot rod, or muscle car, converting away from the factory two-piece driveline, or replacing a guibo that keeps failing. Have your driveshaft measured after the yoke is installed so the shop cuts the shaft and sets pinion angle to match.
