The bushings inside a 700-R4 or 4L60E are the kind of parts that quietly ruin a rebuild if you install them wrong. Drive a case bushing, a pump bushing, or a drum bushing in cocked and you get a shaft that rides off center, a bushing that walks, or a bore that leaks pressure the first time the unit sees line pressure. The right way is to push each one in flat with a driver sized to that exact bushing, and that is what this kit is built to do.
You get twelve hardened steel drivers, each turned to match a specific bushing outside diameter in the GM 700-R4, 4L60, 4L60E and 4L65E units, plus one knurled handle that threads into every driver. Pick the driver that fits the bushing you are seating, thread it onto the handle, and the striking force lands dead center so the bushing goes down square and to the right depth. No more stacking sockets that are almost the right size, and no more tapping around the edge with a punch and hoping it stays straight.
The drivers are made from thickened, hardened steel that shrugs off repeated strikes without mushrooming or deforming, and the whole set drops into a blow-molded case with a cut pocket for every piece so you can see at a glance if one walked off.
