OTC 6593 Transmission Cooler Line Disconnect Set, 3/8 in and 1/2 in Tools for 2003-Newer Ford Explorer 5R55W and Super Duty 4R100

Anybody who has tried to pull a radiator or flush the fluid on a late Ford truck knows the cooler line fittings are the part that eats your afternoon. The quick-connect collar sits in a spot you can barely reach, a screwdriver just chews it up, and half the fuel-line disconnect tools in the box are too thick to slip over the flange. This OTC set is the tool that actually fits: you snap it around the line, push it squarely into the fitting to compress the internal locking fingers, and the line pulls straight out. On a clean fitting it is a thirty-second job.

You get two sizes in the set. The 3/8 inch tool handles the smaller cooler lines on 2003 and newer Ford Explorers running the 5R55W transmission. The 1/2 inch tool handles the larger lines on 2003 and newer Ford Super Duty trucks with the 4R100 transmission. Between the two you cover both the upper and lower radiator connections that show up on F-150, F-250, F-350 and Expedition radiator and transmission jobs, which is exactly why techs keep this set in the drawer instead of chasing a one-size tool that never quite grabs.

It reproduces Ford special service tools 307-441 and 307-459, so it does the same thing the dealer tool does at a fraction of the cost. A rusty or seized fitting may still need a shot of penetrating oil and a second push before it clicks free - that is the fitting fighting you, not the tool - but once it releases the line comes right off. Compact enough to work in a tight engine bay and light enough to live in a glovebox for a roadside radiator swap.
