4L60E Refurbished Master Solenoid Kit for 1996-2002 GM

A refurbished master solenoid set for the GM 4L60E as built from 1996 through 2002. It covers every solenoid that bolts to the valve body in those years: the 1-2/3-4 shift solenoid A, the 2-3 shift solenoid B, the 3-2 downshift control solenoid, the EPC (electronic pressure control) solenoid, and the TCC PWM torque converter clutch solenoid. These are used, reconditioned parts, not new, which is why the set costs less than a new master kit. Listed part references: 24230298, 10478112, 10478120 and 10478131.

Replace the set when you are chasing solenoid codes such as P0751, P0756 (shift solenoid A), P0753 and P0758 (shift solenoid B), P0748 (pressure control) or P0740 (TCC). Symptoms that point here include a truck stuck in second or third gear, harsh or soft shifts that come and go, no converter lockup, or a 3-2 downshift that flares. If the valve body is already off for a rebuild, swapping all five at once saves pulling the pan a second time for the one you did not replace.

On the bench: drain and drop the pan, remove the filter, and unplug the internal harness connectors. Pull the retaining clips on shift solenoids A and B and slide them out, then unbolt the EPC, 3-2 and TCC PWM solenoids. Put a thin film of clean ATF on each new O-ring before installing so the seals do not roll, torque the bracket bolts to spec, reconnect the harness, and fit a new filter and pan gasket. Clear codes and run a road test through all four gears with converter lockup.

Fitment check: 1996-2002 4L60E only. The 1993-1995 units use a different EPC and harness setup, and 2003-up units use a different TCC and pressure switch arrangement, so confirm your model year before ordering.
