4L60E Refurbished Solenoid Kit with TCC Harness, 1996-2002

A refurbished master solenoid kit for the 1996-2002 GM 4L60E with the internal harness included. The set covers shift solenoid A, shift solenoid B, the 3-2 downshift solenoid, the TCC PWM solenoid, the EPC pressure control solenoid (Rostra), the pressure switch manifold (Rostra), and the TCC lock-up solenoid with the internal wiring harness. Listed part reference: 24230298 / 34605A. These are reconditioned parts with a 3-month warranty, not new.

This is the kit to reach for when a 1996-2002 truck or SUV is throwing solenoid and circuit codes such as P0751/P0753 (shift solenoid A), P0756/P0758 (shift solenoid B), P0748 (pressure control), P0740 (TCC) or P1870, or when it is stuck in a gear, not locking the converter, or flaring on the 3-2 downshift. A cracked or brittle internal harness causes many of the same intermittent faults, so replacing the harness at the same time takes it off the suspect list.

On the bench: drain and drop the pan, pull the filter, and unplug the case connector from inside. Remove the solenoid clips and bracket bolts, lift the old harness out with the solenoids, and fit the new set with a light coat of ATF on each O-ring. Route the harness the way the old one came out so it clears the filter, reconnect the case pass-through, and install a new filter and pan gasket.

After install, clear codes and perform the transmission adaptive relearn with a scan tool. Skipping the relearn is a common cause of harsh or erratic shifts after a solenoid or valve body swap. Fits 1996-2002 4L60E only; 1993-1995 and 2003-up units use different solenoid and switch layouts.
