On the 4L60E, the valve body meters line pressure and routes it through the pressure regulator, boost, actuator-feed-limit and TCC-apply circuits plus the 1-2 and 2-3 shift valves. As those bores wear, line pressure drops and apply timing goes soft, which shows up as 1-2 shift flare, TCC shudder, slipping under load, burnt clutches, or no 3rd and 4th gear.
