It carries 49 interchangeable steel discs running from 18mm up to 74mm in 1mm increments, so you can find a disc that sits square on the outer edge of a case bushing, pump bushing, or bearing race and drive it in without cocking or scoring it. The discs thread onto a quick-connect shaft with a long handle, and they also fit under a shop press for the tighter interference fits.
Rebuilders reach for a set like this on the GM 4L80E and 4L85E, but the disc range covers plenty more: 4L60E, 700R4, and 4L60 case and stator bushings, plus axle bearing races, wheel hub seals, and pinion seals on cars and light trucks.
