4L80E Transmission Oil Pan Kit with Filter and Gasket

A stock-depth steel oil pan for the GM 4L80E and 4L80 heavy-duty automatic, packaged with the filter, the filter neck seal and the pan gasket so a dented or leaking pan and the service it needs happen in one trip under the truck. It replaces GM pan 24204278 and Dorman 265-810; the filter and seal cross to GM 24204277, 24208847 and 24210468.

Fitment covers 4L80E-equipped Chevy and GMC Silverado/Sierra 2500 and 3500, Suburban, Tahoe/Yukon, K3500 and Cadillac models, including 1997-2009 trucks. 4L80E pans get pushed in by rocks and off-road use, and a bent pan can crowd the filter pickup and starve the pump, so replacing a dented pan is not just cosmetic.

Install: drain the fluid, drop the old pan, pull the filter straight down and make sure the old neck seal came out of the case bore with it (a doubled seal is a common cause of pump cavitation). Push the new seal into the case, seat the new filter, clean the case flange, and torque the pan bolts evenly in a cross pattern to spec. Refill with Dexron VI and check level hot in park.
