6R140 Transmission Valve Body for Ford Super Duty 6.7L

This is the valve body for the Ford 6R140 TorqShift, the six-speed automatic behind the 6.7L Power Stroke in 2011-2019 F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 Super Duty trucks. It replaces Ford part number BCZ-7A100-B (BCZ7A100B) and drops into the same location under the transmission pan.

The 6R140 is a stout unit, but the valve body is where the mileage shows. The common complaints are a harsh or banging 1-2 shift, a slip or flare going into third or fourth, converter lockup shudder that comes and goes with fluid temperature, limp mode that clears on a restart, and solenoid performance or pressure-control codes such as P0751, P0776 and the P0960 series. Those usually trace to worn valve bores and a leaking separator plate rather than anything wrong with the clutches, which is why replacing the assembly fixes trucks that a fluid-and-filter service did not.

Bench procedure is straightforward on these: drop the pan and filter, disconnect the internal wiring harness from the solenoid body, pull the valve body bolts in order, and lower the unit straight down so the manual valve link stays with the detent lever. Set the new body in place, reconnect the harness, torque the bolts to the factory pattern, and fit a fresh pan gasket and filter. Refill with Motorcraft MERCON LV and check the level at operating temperature. Expect the truck to relearn shift adapts over the first several dozen miles.
